Opposition Merger Parties Return Application to INEC

The leadership of the three opposition political parties seeking to merge into a new platform, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wednesday submitted completed party registration forms and other documents as requested by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).  THISDAY reliably gathered that the parties also complied with the directive of INEC to make available to it, the full list of the interim national executive committee of the proposed merger party.

While acknowledging the receipt of the letter of intent forwarded to it by the three opposition parties seeking to form a merger, INEC had directed the parties to furnish it with the full list of the interim national executives of the proposed party.  A source told THISDAY that the merging parties yesterday, went to re-submit completed 35 copies of Form PA and 35 copies of the constitution of APC, including the list of the newly constituted interim party executives to the commission.
