Tukur, who spoke at the national secretariat of the party, when he inaugurated the Interim National Working Committee (INWC), said the party’s umbrella was big enough to accommodate all members. He noted that PDP as a party that believes in truth and justice would not impose any candidate on anybody. “Our party believes in equity and justice; our party does not believe in imposition (of candidates) or anything that is illegal. Our party belongs to all of us here – everybody,” he said.
But the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) (South-east chapter) has called on the duo of Tukur and Chief Tony Anenih, who is the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the PDP, respectively to resign for failing to use their experiences to advance the governance of the country. Tukur, however, said: “Our people have confidence in our party; confidence in our leadership. So make sure when you get out here also, you continue to spread the sermon. This umbrella is big enough to contain everybody in Nigeria and in the Diaspora”.
