OWERRI: 10.37AM…Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo meets with officials of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Imo State Chapter in an effort to stop the strike, even as the state Labour Congress has embarked on a peaceful protest around the streets of the capital
KANO: 10.09AM…Normalcy gradually returning after hoodlums hijacked the protests on Monday attacking Government House. However, even as some petty traders and okada riders are out on the streets, major offices and government buildings remained shut, while security operatives where out in force. A Nigeria Airforce helicopter was also noticed flying overhead.
ILORIN: 10AM…Anti fuel subsidy removal protesters are converging at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to start on Day 3 of the strike. The protesters are billed to march through a number of major streets in the Kwara State capital including Unity Road and Maraba, and end up at the Ilorin Post Office, where they will be addressed by the Kwara State NLC Chairman, Comrade Farouk, who will seek for ‘divine intervention’ in the current impasse.
LAGOS: 9.55AM…People have begun to gather at the Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota to continue Day 3 of the strike.
