Boko Haram kills 8 in Damaturu

Eight persons have been killed in different parts of Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, since last weekend by gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram. The victims who include both policemen and civilians were brutally murdered at nights in areas like Nasarawa ward, Nainawa and Pawari wards within the Damaturu metropolis. Those killed included a serving police inspector and another inspector who was dismissed from the force sometimes last year. The Yobe State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Lawal Tanko, said the police would strategise and would evolve new measures to tackle the Boko Haram menace in the state.
