Kwara State orders investigation into alleged killing of protester

The Kwara State Government has ordered an immediate and full-scale investigation into the alleged killing of a protester in the state yesterday by yet to be identified persons. A statement signed by the Commissioner of Information and Communication, Prince Olatunji Morounfoye, said that the government expressed regret over the unfortunate death of one person, in Ilorin, the State capital, during the wide spread protests that greeted the removal of oil subsidy by the Federal Government. While commiserating with the family of the deceased, the state government said that adequate security measures have been taken to forestall a reoccurrence of such an incident.
